image 1 image2 Technical Sector The invention is in the technical sector of railway transport infrastructure, specifically in one of the elements that form the tracks. State of the Art Currently, the joints of the profiles that form the tracks have discontinuous expansion joints that produce the typical rattle of the running trains. Avoiding this sound is a measure to avoid acoustic contamination and to increase the quality of travel in passenger transport. At present, the solution adopted is the increase in the lengths of the continuous sections of the rails, reducing the number of joints when using materials with a lower coefficient of expansion. This is used especially on the roads used for passenger transport such as the current high-speed. This solution gives rise to complicated processes in the construction due to the large dimensions of the pieces (up to 100 m.) In the rest of the cases the joints are kept with the traditional solution of straight discontinuity to absorb the dilatation of the material. OBJECT OF THE INVENTION: TECHNICAL PROBLEM - PROPOSED SOLUTION The object of the invention consists in the form given to the ends of the profiles that make up the rails, so that they absorb the expansions and contractions produced by climatic temperature changes, to the pair that maintain constant contact with the wheels of the wagons. The purpose is to avoid the noise produced by discontinuities by increasing the quality of the trips, avoiding noise pollution in the areas close to the railways and simplifying the mounting systems. The proposed solution consists of a series of vertical cuts or notches in the profiles so that a tongue and groove is produced with clearance, which allows the wheel to never lose contact with the rail as there is no discontinuity that causes the sound produced by the blow of the wagon wheel in the discontinuity of the traditional expansion joint. Allowing at the same time the movements produced by thermal expansion and contraction. The advantages of this new way of solving the joints is to avoid the sound, allow the sections of the tracks to be smaller and therefore more manageable by reducing the costs in the placement. The lateral movements of the rail are reduced by the physical engagement that occurs between them perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the rail. The execution of these notches for the tongue and groove is made with cutting discs on both sides to be joined, as indicated in the graphic documentation. The recesses can be of different sizes with the necessary clearances to allow sliding between them. Description of the drawings. The tongue and groove of the profiles, as can be seen in the images, is carried out by means of vertical holes so that the profile maintains a bearing capacity when the wheel passes over, being half in the centimeters in which only the projections of one of the two profiles found (2). In the case of traditional joints there are points where there is a total absence of material. The space destined to absorb the expansions is reflected in the representation (1) and will have the necessary dimension depending on the coefficient of thermal expansion of the material, as in traditional solutions. The alignment between the profiles that are joined is maintained horizontally by the penetration of some pieces into others. In vertical movement can be avoided with a piece or horizontal plate that joins the two rails to join and prevents the vertical movements of one piece with respect to the other. This plate is held by bolts that allow movement in the longitudinal direction only. You can see in the diagrams provided the situation of these elements of union, which allow horizontal movement (3), only in the sense of the greater dimension of the rails, from one to the other with which it joins, preventing it in the two other addresses (4). In existing joints, these can be replaced by a double joint made by introducing a section of small dimensions joined to the long sections that connect through the described joint system. Method of implementation The execution can be machined by creating a tool that spins a series of roughing discs that make the recesses at precise distances and equally for all profiles. This mechanization can be done as standard, the rails coming to work with the recesses made in the workshop, or on the contrary to perform them in the work to avoid the damages that could occur in transport. Industrial application The application of this method of joining the rails is simple enough to apply as standard on the new paths, or even use them on the roads already built by introducing pieces of shorter length that replace the traditional joints as indicated in one of The images provided.
